Hello everyone!
Hope everyone’s holidays are going well. Just before Christmas, I took a trip to Peru for a bit of volunteering mixed with a bit of tourism – voluntourism if you will.
Each year I try to take at least one trip with one of my favorite veterinary aid organizations World Vets. World Vets organizes trips to countries around the world to provide high-volume, high-quality spay and neuter surgeries to communities – and pets – in need.Â
World Vets also organizes International Veterinary Medicine trips, during which veterinary students from the US and abroad are given the opportunity to learn spay and neuter surgical technique. This is where I come in. It will likely come as no surprise that Grace Veterinary Service’s very own Dr Rushing loves to teach.
Let me share some pictures of my adventures in Cusco, Peru. (And if you ever get the chance to visit yourself, I highly recommend it!)
